Terms of Use

Last updated: August 20, 2026

These terms apply to your use of the Blur app. By creating an account, you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy, which explains what information we collect and how we handle it.

1. Acceptance of These Terms

By creating a Blur account or otherwise using the app, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don't agree with them, please don't use Blur.

2. Eligibility and Age Requirements

Blur is intended only for people 18 years of age or older. By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 18, that the information you provide is accurate, and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these terms.

3. Creating and Maintaining an Account

Creating an account requires a valid email address, a password, and a phone number verified by a one-time code. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for the activity that happens under your account. Let us know if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

4. Profile and User Content

You retain ownership of the content you create and upload — your profile, photos, prompt answers, and messages. By posting content on Blur, you grant us a limited license to store and display it within the app in order to operate the service: showing your profile to others, enabling discovery and matching, and reviewing content for moderation and safety purposes.

You're responsible for the content you upload. Don't upload content that is illegal, infringes someone else's rights, is sexually explicit or exploitative, or is intended to deceive others.

5. Discovery and Matching

Blur helps you discover and connect with other users based on your profile, preferences, and location. We don't guarantee that you'll find a match, that any particular person will respond, or that the people you encounter are who they represent themselves to be — please use judgment and our safety tools (reporting and blocking) if something feels wrong.

6. Acceptable Use

You may not use Blur for unlawful or genuinely deceptive purposes. Specifically, you agree not to:

7. Safety and User Conduct

Blur is built around emotional safety, respect, and intentional interaction. You agree to treat others respectfully, respect boundaries and consent, and avoid spam or repeated unwanted contact. We provide reporting and blocking tools so you can flag or avoid anyone who violates these terms, and we review reports as part of keeping the platform safe.

8. Messages and Communications

Chat with your matches is a core part of Blur and is optional to use. If you or the other participant deletes your account, the conversation becomes permanently read-only for whoever remains — no further messages can be sent.

9. Photos, Media, and Intellectual Property

A minimum number of profile photos is required to complete your profile; they're shown to other users as part of your profile. You can delete individual photos at any time without deleting your account.

The Blur app itself — its name, design, and branding — belongs to its operators. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute it without permission.

10. Verification and Trust & Safety Features

Blur offers optional identity verification (a selfie, a short video, or Aadhaar-based verification) to help build trust between users. Verification is not required to use Blur's core features, but it may be reflected in trust signals shown on your profile. Verification material is reviewed for that purpose only.

11. Account Suspension and Termination

We may suspend, restrict, or remove accounts that violate these Terms, create safety risks, engage in abusive behavior, or attempt to manipulate the platform. Depending on severity, this can happen without prior notice — for example, in response to threats, hate speech, fraud, sharing someone's private information without consent, underage misrepresentation, or non-consensual explicit content.

12. Account Deletion

You can permanently delete your account at any time at blurmeet.com/delete-account, or from within the app. This removes your profile from Discover and matching immediately, deletes your photos, signs you out everywhere, and cancels pending matches and reveal requests. Some information (your account record, message history, and identity verification material) may be retained afterward for safety, fraud-prevention, and legal reasons — see our Privacy Policy for exactly what's retained and why, and how to request its removal.

You can also delete individual photos without deleting your entire account. For other specific data you'd like removed while keeping your account, contact privacy@blurmeet.com.

13. Third-Party Services

Blur relies on a small number of service providers to operate: Amazon Web Services for hosting and file storage, a dedicated provider to deliver SMS verification codes, an error-monitoring service to diagnose crashes, and a dedicated identity-verification provider for Aadhaar-based checks. These providers process data only as needed to perform their specific function for Blur.

14. Disclaimers

Blur is provided on an "as is" basis. We don't guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of every possible security vulnerability, and we don't guarantee the accuracy of information other users provide about themselves. Use your own judgment when interacting with people you meet through the app.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Blur and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including your interactions with other users. Nothing in these terms is intended to limit liability where it cannot legally be limited.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as Blur changes. If we make a material change, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
