Delete Your Account

Available without the app installed

You can permanently delete your Blur account and its data from this page. Deletion of your profile, photos, and access is immediate. This cannot be undone.

What happens immediately

What's retained, and why

A small amount of information is kept after deletion: your account record, message history, and any identity verification documents you submitted. Nothing in this is used to keep operating your profile — Blur cannot be un-deleted, and no one can see or match with you once you've deleted your account.

It's kept for legitimate reasons only: resolving fraud or safety reports that were already in progress, keeping other users' own records (like a report they filed, or a shared match) intact rather than orphaned, and meeting legal retention obligations. Retained data is not used for anything beyond these purposes.

To request that this retained data be removed sooner, email privacy@blurmeet.com — we'll act on it directly. See our Privacy Policy for the full data-handling policy.

Delete specific data without deleting your account

Some types of data can be removed without closing your account. You can delete individual profile photos at any time from within the Blur app — this removes them from our storage, not just from view. If you want to request deletion of other specific data while keeping your account, email privacy@blurmeet.com and tell us what you'd like removed.

Confirm it's you

Sign in with your Blur account. This page only ever deletes the account you sign in as — there's no way to specify a different one.

Prefer not to delete?

You can pause or log out of your profile from within the app instead — deletion is meant for when you're certain. Accounts with two-factor authentication enabled must delete from the Blur app; this page doesn't yet support the 2FA step.
